About Me

I thank you for taking the time to visit my portfolio. I am currently in my final  semester at Caldwell University seeking a Master's degree in School Counseling. I am pursuing a career as a high school counselor. I was born in Brooklyn, NY, but raised in Rahway, NJ. During my time as an undergraduate at Rutgers University Camden, I worked as an after-school mentor for young children within the local charter schools. This experience is what led to wanting to work with students and make a positive impact on the communities in which I live. As a graduate student, I have completed over 600 hours of practicum/internship at Roselle Park High School. I facilitated group sessions with students along with weekly individual counseling sessions,  served as the schools college liaison for college visits to help students prepare for post-graduation, and collaborated with the counseling department to foster a positive environment in which students feel they can succeed. All of these experiences, along with my own personal life experiences have shaped me to the be person I am today. My goal as a school counselor is not to change the student's that I work with, but empower them to achieve anything they put their mind to.
